Along with voting and elections, there are other important areas of civic engagement that create active and informed citizens and build a strong democracy. This page highlights many of these national civic engagement networks and resources. We will be adding more over the coming months in the spirit of connecting voting to the many avenues of nonpartisan civic engagement.

Advocacy and Lobbying for Nonprofits

Alliance for Justice (AFJ) is a national association of environmental, civil rights, mental health, women's, children’s, and consumer advocacy organizations. AFJ has worked to advance the cause of justice for all Americans, strengthen the public interest community's ability to influence public policy, and foster the next generation of advocates.
