The organizations listed below provide reports and research on voting trends of various constituencies. Some of the largest voting surveys are done by the U.S. Census and American National Election Studies.   For longer term trend charts, go to our section on gaps in voter turnout.

General

U.S. Census Voting and Registration from the Current Population Survey
US Census site has estimates of voter turnout and voter registration based on post-election survey data since 1964.

The American National Election Studies (ANES) states as it mission "producing high quality data on voting, public opinion, and political participation to serve the research needs of those who wish to better understand the foundations of national election outcomes."  Among other features, it has a wealth of long-term data in its section on guides to public opinion.
