BOURBON STEAK at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC is getting into the election spirit and doing its own polling, the good old-fashioned way—all with the added benefit of supporting Nonprofit VOTE. Now through Election Day, guests who order one of the four specialty Presidential Cocktails concocted by head bartender Torrence Swain will be given a vintage style ballot to toss into either the “Democratic” or the “Republican” full-size whiskey barrels. Of the four cocktails, two are based on drinking preferences of past GOP presidents and two represent those of historic democrats. With every order, $5 goes to NPV to further its mission to engage America’s nonprofits in voting and elections.
“This election is so polarizing and intense, so we wanted to add a little fun with candidate-neutral cocktails that underscore our country’s political history. It’s a simple reminder of the electoral spirit and the empowerment of voting,” says David Fascitelli, general manager, BOURBON STEAK.
Whether you order according to your politics or your palate, your ballot could be chosen at random from the barrel of the winning party after the official election. The winning “contestant” will be declared “President for the Day” at BOURBON STEAK and Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC. He—or she!—will be entitled to a free night in the Four Seasons’ famed 2,000-square-foot Presidential Suite [$11,000 value] and a complimentary wine-paired dinner for two at BOURBON STEAK.
