Voter ID - Illinois
In Illinois, if you are a first time voter and registered by mail or did not provide ID at the time of registration, you will be asked to provide:
  • A copy of a current and valid photo ID such as a driver's license or other government issued photo ID (passport, etc.)
  • A copy of a current utility bill, bank document, government check, paycheck or other government document that shows the name and address of where you are registered to vote.

If you have voted before in Illinois you do not need ID, but it is good idea to bring ID to the polls when you vote.
