- Eligibility to Register to Vote
- In order to be eligible to register to vote in Georgia, an applicant must:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Reside in Georgia
- Be at least 18 years of age or older on Election Day
- Not be judicially determined to be mentally incompetent
- Eligibility for Ex-offenders
- Voting rights are automatically restored after completion of sentence including parole and probation and payment of any court-ordered restitution. Ex-offenders should re-register to vote.
- Registration Deadline
- Voter registration forms must be submitted or postmarked by the fifth Monday before the election.
