- Eligibility to Register to Vote
- In order to be eligible to register to vote in Kentucky, an applicant must:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Reside in Kentucky
- Be at least 18 years of age or older on Election Day
- Not been judged "mentally incompetent" in a court of law
- Not claim the right to vote anywhere outside of Kentucky
- Eligibility for Ex-offenders
- All people with felony convictions lose their right to vote for life, unless their voting right is restored by the governor or other “appropriate authority”.
- Registration Deadline
- Voter registration forms must be submitted by or postmarked 29 days before the election.
