- In order to be eligible to register to vote in Maine, an applicant must:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Have established and maintained a residence in the municipality where the person intends to register to vote
- Be at least 17 years of age (must be 18 years of age or older on election day)

- Voter registration forms must be received 21 days before the election.
