- Eligibility to Register to Vote
- In order to be eligible to register to vote in Nebraska, an applicant must:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Reside in Nebraska
- Be at least 18 years of age on or before the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November
- Have not been officially found to be mentally incompetent
- Eligibility for Ex-offenders
- Voting rights are automatically restored after completion of sentence including parole and probation. Ex-offenders should re-register to vote.
- Registration Deadline
- Voter registration forms must be submitted or postmarked by the third Friday before the election (by-mail) or received by 6pm on the second Friday before the election (in-person).
