Voter Registration in North Dakota

Eligibility to Vote
In order to be eligible to vote in North Dakota, an applicant must:
  • Be a United States Citizen
  • Reside in North Dakota for at least 30 days preceding the election in the precinct you will be voting in
  • Be at least 18 years of age or older on Election Day
Eligibility for Ex-offenders
Voting rights are automatically restored after release from prison. People on parole or probation can vote. Ex-offenders should re-register to vote.
Registration Deadline
North Dakota does not have voter registration.
