- Eligibility to Register to Vote
- In order to be eligible to register to vote in Vermont, an applicant must:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Are a resident of Vermont and a resident of the town in which you apply to be added to the checklist
- Be at least 18 years of age or older on Election Day
- Take, or have previously taken, the Voter's Oath (formerly called the "Freeman's Oath")
- Registration Deadline
- Voter registration forms must be received by 5:00pm on the Wednesday before the election.
