- Eligibility to Register to Vote
- In order to be eligible to register to vote in Washington, an applicant must:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Reside in Washington
- Be at least 18 years of age or older on Election Day
- Not have been declared mentally incompetent and ineligible to vote
- Eligibility for Ex-offenders
- Voting rights are automatically restored after completion of sentence including parole and probation. Ex-offenders should re-register to vote.
- Registration Deadline
- Voter registration forms must be submitted by or postmarked 30 days before the election (by mail) or received 15 days before the election (in person).
