- Eligibility to Register to Vote
- In order to be eligible to register to vote in Wisconsin, an applicant must:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Have resided in Wisconsin for the past 28 consecutive days immediately preceding the election
- Be at least 18 years of age or older on Election Day
- Eligibility for Ex-offenders
- Voting rights are automatically restored after completion of sentence including parole and probation. Ex-offenders should re-register to vote.
- Registration Deadline
- Voter registration forms must be submitted by or postmarked 20 days before the election (by mail). Additionally, a voter may register to vote in-person at the municipal clerk's office up to 5pm or the close of business, whichever is later on the Friday before the election. Lastly, it is also possible to register in person on election day.
