This introduction to nonprofit voter engagement work covers the basics while focusing on how to integrate activities into the services you already provide. We’ll cover voter registration, voter education, candidate engagement, and get-out-the-vote efforts, as well as how to ensure your work stays nonpartisan.
Featured Presenter: Sara Brady is the Policy Director at MassVOTE where she oversees legislative efforts to modernize election laws in Massachusetts. She also manages nonpartisan get-out-the-vote activities including voter registration drives, candidate surveys, candidate forums, and election protection efforts. Prior to joining MassVOTE, Sara worked for 5 years at Project Vote Smart, a national nonprofit that provides nonpartisan political research, serving most recently as National Director. Sara graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Black Studies. She frequently serves as a poll worker for the City of Boston.
