Nonprofits Get Out the Vote

On November 4th, voters will decide on all 435 seats in the House of Representatives, 36 Senate seats, 36 Governorships, and numerous contests for local office. There will be also be 136 statewide ballot measures in 41 states. In many states, ballots will be cast well before Election Day. Learn about effective strategies and tactics for getting out the vote at your nonprofit and in your community.
Featured Presenter: Lindsey Hodel is the National Field Director at Nonprofit VOTE. She has more than a decade of experience in public policy advocacy, community organizing, and nonprofit civic engagement efforts. Prior to her current role, she founded the Colorado Participation Project, a roundtable of direct service nonprofits that participate in client engagement programs. Abby Kieser is the Youth Coordinator and Researcher at CIRCLE, serving as liaison to practitioner organizations across the country. She communicates research findings and tracks recommendations from young people, youth-serving organizations, and educators for future research. Before coming to CIRCLE, she organized students around the country as part of a national campaign of Campus Compact to increase youth involvement in public life.
