Forward to Week 9 – The Power of the Vote >
Why our Nonprofit is Engaging Potential Voters
10 Weeks from Election Day
There are many reasons your nonprofit may choose to engage potential voters: to promote your clients’ social connections and personal agency, as a demonstration of your commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, or because voter engagement bolsters your influence and advocacy efforts. Our recent report, America’s Nonprofits Get Out the Vote, suggests that about 20% of nonprofits nationwide engage voters.
The following templates are meant to help you and your nonprofit begin to engage your staff, volunteers, members, clients, and community as potential voters by explaining why your nonprofit thinks it is important. The templates also provide tangible steps for them to get involved in the democratic process.
