Dear Partners and Stakeholders,
As we approach the end of another year, let me take a moment to thank you for the steadfast support you have given Nonprofit VOTE and the mission we share with you to ensure that everyone has a voice in our democracy. I deeply appreciate your dedication to the critical work of your own organization, and our shared work to build a more fair and equitable society.
As one of the many partners we work with and seek to support, the effort you put into bringing about meaningful change is the reason we exist. Your efforts are both admirable and essential. This collective action has helped lift the voice of those most excluded from our democratic process.
Nonprofits are crucial to the functioning of democracy. We uniquely serve and inform communities that are often neglected and underrepresented. Working together, we can create an environment that fosters inclusion and respect for all voters by engaging them through trusted partnerships, in culturally responsible ways, and as part of a longer-term relationship.
During this past year alone, we have seen once again how nonprofits can work towards an empowered electorate. To ensure all perspectives are valued, all voices heard, and all communities represented; we have collaborated with organizations of different sizes and scopes. We told you about some of these successes last week, but I believe that even greater things lie ahead for us in 2024 – which will be a galvanizing and important election year for America in many ways.
In the coming years, we will continue our work to support non-profit organizations across the nation as they incorporate nonpartisan voter engagement into their activities and core programs. From webinars and online resources to our multi-state field program and newly launched Philanthropy for Voter Engagement initiative, this is the work that animates us. We will also continue our leadership of National Voter Registration Day’s collaborative work to reach more eligible voters with critical information on how they can register with celebratory and uplifting activations across the nation.
By working together, we can bring about long-lasting changes within our societies. Thank each one of you for being there when needed most; looking forward to working together next year.
