Nonprofit Associations

North Carolina Center for Nonprofits

The North Carolina Center for Nonprofits was founded by Jane Kendall in October 1990 after three years of research pointed to the need for nonprofits to work together to strengthen their organizations and the nonprofit sector. We set our priorities with input from 2,153 leaders in nonprofits, foundations, and businesses from all 100 NC counties. We seek regular input for continuous improvement and to respond to the changing environment for nonprofits.

Democracy North Carolina

Democracy North Carolina is a nonpartisan organization that uses research, organizing, and advocacy to strengthen democratic structures, build power among disenfranchised communities, and inspire confidence in a transformed political process that works for all.
