Webinar: Who are the Nonprofits that do Voter Engagement?

Last Updated: February 27, 2026

This webinar highlights characteristics, motivations, and approaches of nonprofits that engage in nonpartisan voter engagement work. It offers insights for organizations considering or expanding their own civic participation activities.
Webinar: Who are the Nonprofits that do Voter Engagement?

Based on data from a survey conducted by Urban Institute in 2021, we developed the first nationwide snapshot of voter engagement among America’s nonprofits with our “America’s Nonprofits Get Out the Vote” report.

Throughout this webinar, we explored the findings from our 2022 “America’s Nonprofits Get Out the Vote” report. This data provides us with an insight into how many nonprofits across the nation actually do voter engagement, who they are, and what characteristics set them apart from others.

Special thanks to guest speakers Erika Anthony of Cleveland VOTES, Jan Masaoka of CalNonprofits, and Lindsay Torrico of United Way Worldwide for sharing their expertise and knowledge.
