While we now know the outcomes of the many races that made up Election 2024, what about the scale and shape of the nation’s voter turnout? As the first presidential election since the record-breaking turnout of 2020, this last webinar of the Nonprofit VOTE calendar year is a golden opportunity to talk about the data behind 2024 voters, who they were, how they voted, and what got them to the polls.
Joining us as our guest speaker will be Dr. Michael McDonald, Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Florida and the driving force behind the University of Florida Election Lab. As the nation’s foremost expert on counting the vote, he and his lab track early voting and voting by mail in addition to producing national and state voter turnout data for US elections.
Dr. McDonald will break down the numbers of vote by mail, early voting, and election day voting and provide election insights based on the lab’s research that can be used by nonprofits to improve voter outreach and engagement in the coming years.
